''Rascals'' is a 1938 American comedy film directed by H. Bruce Humberstone and written by Robert Ellis and Helen Logan. The film stars Jane Withers, Rochelle Hudson, Robert Wilcox, Borrah Minevitch, Steffi Duna and Katharine Alexander. The film was released on May 20, 1938, by 20th Century Fox. John Reinhardt (1901–1953) was an Austrian actor, screenwriter, and film director. José Crespo (actor)
José Crespo (1900–1997) was a Spanish film actor. During the late 1920s and 1930s he worked in Hollywood, often as a leading man in Spanish-language versions of studio hits. Crespo was thought to resemble John Gilbert by MGM bosses, and was given roles performed by the American in the English versions. The two men became friends.Jarvinen p.49 Once the fashion for making separate Spanish versions was brought to an end by the rise of dubbing, Crespo moved to Mexico to work. He later returned to his native Spain. Howard Hickman
Howard Charles Hickman (February 9, 1880 – December 31, 1949) was an American actor, director and writer. He was an accomplished stage leading man, who entered films through the auspices of producer Thomas H. Ince. Career In 1900, Hickman debuted on stage as an extra in a production in San Francisco. He went on to act in stock theater with the Alacazar, Morosco, and Melborne MacDowell companies, among others. On Broadway, Hickman wrote, and portrayed Gabby in, ''The Skirt'' (1921). Hickman's initial work in films was with the Lasky Pictures Company, after which he acted with the Triangle Company and later the Ince company. In 1918, Hickman debuted as a director, with ''The Rainbow'' (for Paralta studios) as his first film. He directed 19 films. Eddie Dunn (actor)
Edward Frank Dunn (March 31, 1896 – May 5, 1951) was an American actor best known for his roles in comedy films, supporting many comedians such as Charley Chase (with whom he co-directed several short films), Charlie Chaplin, W. C. Fields and Laurel and Hardy. Dunn was born in Brooklyn, New York. As a high school student in Waco, Texas, he began performing with some fellow students on a local radio station. He broke into films with the Vitagraph studio in 1915, working with the studio's star comedians Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Drew and Larry Semon. By 1927 he was working with stop-motion animator Charley Bowers at Educational Pictures, as a supporting player in Bowers's live-action comedies. In 1929 his career took a decided turn for the better when he signed with the Hal Roach studio. Francesco Giuseppe "Frank" Puglia (9 March 1892 – 25 October 1975) was an Italian-American film actor. He had small, but memorable roles in films including ''Casablanca'' (a Moroccan rug merchant), ''Now, Voyager'' and ''The Jungle Book''. Kathleen B. Burke (September 5, 1913 – April 9, 1980) was an American movie actress of the 1930s and former model.
