Rarva Dikana
Rarua Dikana (born 19 October 1978 in Papua New Guinea) is a former Papua New Guinean cricketer, also known as Rarva Dikana. A right-handed batsman, right-arm medium pace bowler and occasional wicket-keeper, he has played for the Papua New Guinea national cricket team since 1998. Career Dikana's first taste of international cricket came in the 1998 Under-19 World Cup when he represented Papua New Guinea Under-19s in six tournament matches. The 2001 ICC Trophy was a cricket tournament played in Ontario, Canada in 2001. It was the Cricket World Cup qualification tournament for the 2003 Cricket World Cup. Three spots in the World Cup were on offer and the Netherlands, host nation Canada and for the first time, Namibia all qualified. The ICC World Cricket League (WCL) was a series of international one-day cricket tournaments for national teams without Test status (i.e., teams of Associate status) administered by the International Cricket Council. All Associate Members of the ICC were eligible to compete in the league system, which featured a promotion and relegation structure between divisions. The league system had two main aims: to provide a qualification system for the Cricket World Cup that could be accessed by all Associate Members and as an opportunity for these sides to play international one-day matches against teams of similar standards.
