Raquel Fernandez
Raquel Fernandes dos Santos (born 21 March 1991), commonly known as Raquel, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a forward for Sporting CP in the Portuguese Campeonato Nacional and the Brazil national team. She participated in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. Club career Raquel joined Ferroviária in 2010. In the 2013 Campeonato Paulista de Futebol Feminino, she scored six goals in her team's 19–0 win over Botucatu. In January 2016 Raquel joined compatriots Darlene de Souza and Rafaelle Souza in transferring to Chinese Women's Super League club Changchun Zhuoyue. Raquel played in the Spanish Primera División for Sporting de Huelva between 2018 and 2019. On 26 July 2019, Raquel signed with Sporting CP in Portugal. Football At The 2015 Pan American Games – Women's Tournament
The women's football tournament at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada was held at the Hamilton Pan Am Soccer Stadium in Hamilton from July 11 to 25. For the football competition in these Games, the women competed in an eight-team tournament. The teams were grouped into two pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The top two teams in each group advanced to a single elimination bracket. The women’s competition was an open-age competition with no age restrictions. Canada were the defending champions from the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara. The gold medal was won by Brazil. Qualification A total of eight women's teams qualified to compete at the games. The association football tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held from 3 to 20 August in Brazil. In addition to the Olympic host city of Rio de Janeiro, matches were played in Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Salvador, São Paulo, and Manaus. All six cities hosted matches during the 2014 World Cup, with the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange in Rio the only Olympic venue not to have been a World Cup venue. Associations affiliated with FIFA might send teams to participate in the tournament. The 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup is the first women's football U-17 World Cup in FIFA history. It was held in New Zealand from 28 October to 16 November 2008. It is the officially recognized world championship for women's under-17 national football teams. This was the first women's world youth championship organized by FIFA with the age limit of 17. The Chinese Women's Super League (CWSL) is the top level women's football league in China. It was called the Chinese Women's National Football League from 2011 to 2014. In professional football, a transfer is the action taken whenever a player under contract moves between clubs. It refers to the transferring of a player's registration from one association football club to another. In general, the players can only be transferred during a transfer window and according to the rules set by a governing body (fulfilling the requirements of FIFA, continental and national bodies regulating the purchasing and selling clubs).
