Stage Race (cycling)
A race stage, leg, or heat is a unit of a racing, race that has been divided in several parts for the reason such as length of the distance to be covered, as in a multi-day race, multi-day event. Usually, such a race consists of "ordinary" stages, but sometimes stages are held as an individual time trial or a team time trial. Michael Andersson (born 4 March 1967) is a Swedish former road cyclist who was a professional rider from 1995 to 2001. He competed three times at the Summer Olympics (1992, 1996 and 2000). Michael Rich (born 23 September 1969) is a former professional road bicycle racer, who won the gold medal for his native country in the men's team time trial (100 km) at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. His winning teammates were Christian Meyer, Bernd Dittert and Uwe Peschel. Rich is most famous for his individual time trial participations in the Grand Tours (Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España). He is the father of two children.
