The Jatiya Party ( bn, জাতীয় পার্টি, translit=Jatiyo Party, lit=National Party) is a conservative, nationalist political party in Bangladesh and is currently the main opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad, against the Awami League. Sharfuddin Ahmed Jhantu (1952 – 25 February 2018) was a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a former Jatiya Sangsad member who represented Rangpur-1 constituency.
