Rangoli (film)
Rungoli ( hi, रंगोली; ur, رنگولی; translation: ''A Colourful Pattern of Life'', also transliterated as ''Rangoli'') is a 1962 Black-and-white Romance comedy Hindi film directed by Amar Kumar. The film had Kishore Kumar and Vyjayanthimala in the lead with Durga Khote, Jeevan, Iftekhar and others appearing in supporting roles. The film had music by the Shankar Jaikishan duo with Hasrat Jaipuri and Shailendra providing the lyrics. Plot Sewakram lives a middle-classed lifestyle in Bombay (India) along with his wife Subhagi, daughter Nirmala(Vyjayanthimala) and son Lattoo. He works in the Flora Fountain branch of the United Commercial Bank. He is very organized, thrifty, and plans to get his children educated, married, and also build a house for them. Rajinder Singh Bedi
Rajinder Singh Bedi (1 September 1915 – 1984) was an Indian Urdu writer of the progressive writers' movement and a playwright, who later worked in Hindi cinema as a film director, screenwriter and dialogue writer and he is grandfather Rajat Bedi an Manek Bedi. As a screenwriter and dialogue writer, he is best known for Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films '' Abhimaan'', '' Anupama'' and ''Satyakam''; and Bimal Roy's ''Madhumati''. As a director he is known for '' Dastak'' (1970), starring Sanjeev Kumar and Rehana Sultan and ''Phagun'' (1973), starring Dharmendra, Waheeda Rehman, Jaya Bhaduri and Vijay Arora. He wrote his scripts in Urdu, like a number of other prominent screenwriters at the time. Manna Dey
Prabodh Chandra Dey (May 1, 1919 − October 24, 2013), known by his stage name Manna Dey, was an internationally acclaimed and celebrated Indian playback singer, music director, and a musician. Mukesh Chand Mathur (22 July 1923 – 27 August 1976), better known mononymously as Mukesh, was an Indian playback singer. Mukesh is considered to be one of the most popular and acclaimed playback singers of the Hindi film industry. Nazir Hussain
Nazir Hussain (15 May 1922 – 16 October 1987) was an Indian actor, director and screenwriter. He was famous as a character actor in Hindi cinema and acted in almost 500 films. Dev Anand starred in a large proportion of the films he acted in. Early life Nazir Hussain's father Shahabzad Khan was a guard in the Railways and Hussain grew up in Lucknow. He himself worked as a fireman in the railways for few months and soon joined the British army during World War II. He was posted in Malaysia and Singapore where he became a prisoner of war.
