Randy Pike
Randall W. "Randy" Pike (September 30, 1953 – September 20, 2014) was an American politician. Born in Butler, Missouri, Pike graduated from Butler High School in 1972 and then went to Central Missouri State University. Pike was a Taxidermy, taxidermist and wood carver. He was elected Bates County, Missouri Northern Commissioner and served from 2002 to 2012. Butler is a city in Bates County, Missouri, United States and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The population was 4,219 at the 2010 census. The county seat of Bates County, the city is named for William Orlando Butler, a noted American military and political figure of the early and mid-19th century. It is located approximately south of Kansas City, Missouri on U.S. Route 71-Interstate 49. History When originally laid out in April 1852, Butler was a short distance from its current location, with John C. Kennett being recognized as the first settler to build a home. Adrian is a city in northern Bates County, Missouri, U.S. It is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The population was 1,677 at the 2010 census. History Adrian was platted in 1880 when the Missouri Pacific Railroad was extended to that point. Some say the city was named by settlers who hailed from Adrian, Michigan, while others believe the city was named after Adrian Talmadge, the son of a railroad official. A post office has been in operation at Adrian since 1880. Geography Adrian is located on Missouri Route 18 adjacent to the west side of US Route 71. Butler is approximately nine miles to the south. Bates County is a county located in the west central part of the U.S. state of Missouri, two counties south of the Missouri River and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area.
