Randy Mattingly
Randy Mattingly (born May 15, 1951) is a former gridiron football quarterback who played in the Canadian Football League. He played college football at Evansville. College career Mattingly attended Florida State as a freshman but left and moved back to Evansville after his older brother died in a construction accident. He enrolled at the University of Evansville and was named All-Indiana Collegiate Conference as a junior and as a senior. He also competed in baseball, basketball, and track and field for Evansville. Professional career Mattingly was selected in the fourth round of the 1973 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. He was cut at the end of training camp and spent the 1973 season on the practice squads of the Browns, Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. Donald Arthur Mattingly (born April 20, 1961) is an American former professional baseball first baseman, coach, and manager in Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the bench coach for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). Nicknamed "The Hit Man" and "Donnie Baseball", he spent his entire 14-year MLB career playing with the New York Yankees and later managed the Los Angeles Dodgers for five years and the Miami Marlins for seven seasons. Jimmy Jones (born June 23, 1950) is a former all-star quarterback in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Jones was a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC). He moved to Canada in 1973, and played for the Montreal Alouettes, Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Ottawa Rough Riders, and helped lead the Alouettes to a Grey Cup win in 1974. Early years Jones played football at John Harris High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he became one of top rated quarterbacks in the nation. He won the starter job during his junior year, passing and running for over 2,300 yards and 20 touchdowns, then 2,400 yards with 40 touchdowns in his senior year.
