Randy Fuller (musician)
Randall Fuller (January 29, 1944) is an American rock singer, songwriter, and bass player best known for his work in the popular 60s rock group the Bobby Fuller Four with his older brother, Bobby Fuller. Early life Early on, Fuller took up trombone in his school band, later switching to guitar. With a reel-to-reel tape player, he and his brother made their own recordings, dubbing their group "Captain Fuller and the Rocket Squad". With his parents concerned with his troubling behavior, Randy was sent to military school. When Fuller went to military school, he left his guitar behind. At this point, his brother Bobby taught himself how to play guitar. By the time Randy returned, Fuller was already a self-taught professional. When Bobby wanted to start his own band in 1962, he immediately recruited Randy to play bass. While Randy wasn't enthused about the instrument, he nonetheless agreed. Hobbs, New Mexico
Hobbs is a city in Lea County, New Mexico, Lea County, New Mexico, United States. Its population was 40,508 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, increasing from 34,122 in 2010. Hobbs is the principal city of the Hobbs, New Mexico micropolitan statistical area, which includes all of Lea County. History Hobbs was founded in 1907 when James Isaac Hobbs (1852–1923) established a Homestead principle, homestead and named the settlement. In 1910, the Hobbs post office opened, with James Hobbs as the first postmaster. By 1911, there were about 25 landowners in Hobbs.[ The small, isolated settlement expanded rapidly following the discovery of oil by the Midwest Oil Company in 1927. Miriam Linna (born October 16, 1955 in Greater Sudbury, Sudbury, Ontario) is a Canadian-American drummer who has run the Brooklyn-based independent record label Norton Records since 1986, originally with her husband, the late producer and singer-songwriter Billy Miller (musician), Billy Miller. Her skill as a drummer earned her a "May I recommend?" nod from Bob Dylan on his XM ''Theme Time Radio Hour'' program (episode 37) in January 2007. Linna is part of the collective of musicians that emerged from the Cleveland, Ohio punk rock scene, including the Dead Boys and Pere Ubu. When the re-formed Rocket from the Tombs performed in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 2003, singer David Thomas (musician), David Thomas dedicated the band's signature song "Amphetamine" to her.
