Randwick Town Hall
The Randwick City Hall is a heritage-listed town hall located in the Sydney suburb of , New South Wales, Australia. Designed by Messrs Blackmann and Parkes in the Victorian Italianate architectural style, the town hall was completed in 1882 at a cost of A£2,300 to serve as the town hall and municipal chamber for the Borough of Randwick. The City Hall is listed on the (now defunct) Register of the National Estate and as an item of local government significance on the New South Wales Heritage Database. New South Wales Heritage Database, or State Heritage Inventory, is an online database of information about historic sites in New South Wales, Australia with statutory heritage listings. Contents It holds the information about sites listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register (over 1,650 entries) in addition to sites on heritage lists managed by New South Wales local government authorities and other statutory heritage registers. It is important to note that this is an online database holding information about historic sites but is not in itself a heritage register. The Register of the National Estate was a heritage register that listed natural and cultural heritage places in Australia that was closed in 2007. Phasing out began in 2003, when the Australian National Heritage List and the Commonwealth Heritage List were created and by 2007 the Register had been replaced by these and various state and territory heritage registers.
