''Home and Away'' is an Australian television soap opera. It was first broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. Home And Away
''Home and Away'' (often abbreviated as ''H&A'') is an Australian television soap opera. It was created by Alan Bateman and commenced broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. Bateman came up with the concept of the show during a trip to Kangaroo Point, New South Wales, where he noticed locals were complaining about the construction of a foster home and against the idea of foster children from the city living in the area. The soap opera was initially going to be called ''Refuge'', but the name was changed to the "friendlier" title of ''Home and Away'' once production began. The show premiered with a ninety-minute pilot episode (subsequently in re-runs and on VHS known as ''Home and Away: The Movie''). Since then, each subsequent episode has aired for a duration of twenty-two minutes. Zac MacGuire
Zac MacGuire is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera '' Home and Away'', played by Charlie Clausen. The actor successfully auditioned for the role in 2012 and was told he had won the role on his birthday. Clausen began filming almost immediately and was initially contracted for three years. Clausen had to give up recording his podcast TOFOP at Seven Network's request, as it was deemed a conflict of interest. He made his first screen appearance on 22 January 2013. George Mason (actor)
George Mason is a New Zealand film and television actor. He secured his first role in the feature film '' 50 Ways of Saying Fabulous'' when he was thirteen years old. After deciding to pursue acting full-time, Mason appeared as Regan Ames in ''Shortland Street'' in 2011, before making appearances in ''Tangiwai: A Love Story'', ''Top of the Lake'' and ''3 Mile Limit''. In 2013, Mason starred as Ted Keegan in the fifth season of ''Go Girls'' and he had a supporting role in crime drama '' The Blue Rose''. Martin Ashford (Home And Away)
Martin "Ash" Ashford is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away'', played by George Mason. The character made his first screen appearance on 27 October 2014. When Mason auditioned he believed Ash to be a "great character" and moved from Melbourne to accept the role. Ash is characterised as a tough, ex-prisoner who has a backstory of criminal activity. He was sent to prison after committing a robbery with Dean Sanderson (Kevin Kiernan-Molloy), but he framed Ash as the sole perpetrator and turned his sister Billie (Tessa de Josselin) against him.
