Ranabir Samaddar is an Indian political scientist. He holds the Distinguished Chair in Migration and Forced Migration Studies at the Mahanirban Calcutta Research Group. 24 Parganas district (''cabbiś pargaṇā jēlā'') is a former district of the Indian state of West Bengal.
