Rampachodavaram (ST)(Assembly Constituency)
Rampachodavaram is a Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Tribe reserved constituency in Alluri Sitharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh that elects representatives to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in India. It is one of the seven assembly segments of Araku Lok Sabha constituency. Nagulapalli Dhanalakshmi is the current Member of Legislative Assembly (India), MLA of the constituency, having won the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from YSR Congress Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 260,323 electors in the constituency. The constituency was established in 2008, as per the ''Delimitation Orders (2008)''. 2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The United Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election of 2009 took place in April 2009, concurrently with the 2009 Indian general election. The elections were held in the state in the first phase (2009-04-16) and the second phase (2009-04-23). The results were declared on 2009-05-16. The incumbent Indian National Congress retained power in the United Andhra Pradesh State Assembly lower house, though with a reduced majority. The Congress Legislature party re-elected incumbent Chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy as its leader thus re-nominating him to the post. Previous Assembly In the 2004 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election, Congress had swept the state, winning 185 of the 294 seats in the Assembly. 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It was held concurrently with the Indian general election. The results were declared on 16 May 2014. The Telugu Desam Party led by N. Chandrababu Naidu won a majority of the 175 seats in the rump Andhra Pradesh, while Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by K. Chandrashekar Rao won in the new state of Telangana. Previous Assembly In the 2009 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election, Congress had taken the lead, winning 156 of the 294 seats in the Assembly. As the leader of the Congress Legislature Party, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy was invited to form the government by Governor N. D. Tiwari. Nagulapalli Dhanalakshmi (born 6 December 1984) is an Indian politician from East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. Personal life She is born in 1984 to Nagulapalli Raghava and Veerabbayi Dora in Gondolu village of Addateegala mandal in the then East Godavari district. She completed her B.A at SKR College in Rajahmundry in 2011 and later did her B.Ed. She was a teacher at the Girijan Welfare residential school in Errampalem. Her mother Nagulapalli Raghava is elected as a sarpanch of Gondolu Panchayat for the third time in 2021. Career Dhanalakshmi became a first-time MLA in 2019. She resigned her job as a teacher in June 2018 to enter politics.
