Ramona High School (RHS) is located in Ramona, California. Ramona High is a member of the Ramona City Unified School District and serves the communities of Ramona, San Diego Country Estates, and citizens of the surrounding rural area as well as small numbers of people from Santa Ysabel and Julian. History Throughout most of the 1800s Ramona consisted of many one room schools that served students of many different ages. As the population of Ramona began to rapidly grow in the late nineteenth century, the need for a high school arose. Ramona High School was first established in 1894 holding classes in the attic of the Ramona Town Hall. The conditions of this location proved to be far too uncomfortable which led to a bell tower like building being constructed on 9th and D Street which would serve as the Ramona High School Campus from 1898-1911. Ramona is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Diego County, California. The population was 20,292 at the 2010 census. The name ''Ramona'' also refers to an unincorporated community (with some plans to incorporate) that includes both the Ramona CDP and the adjacent CDP of San Diego Country Estates. The population of the two CDPs, which does not include the fringe areas surrounding the CDPs, was 30,301 at the 2010 census, up from 25,223 at the 2000 census. The Ramona Community Planning Area had a population of 33,404 at the 2000 census. Travis Knight (basketball)
Travis Knight (born September 13, 1974) is a retired American professional basketball player who played seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). A 7'0" center from the University of Connecticut, he played under Hall of Fame head coach Jim Calhoun. Career Knight was drafted with the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 1996 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. In July 1996, less than a month after drafting Knight, the Bulls renounced the rights to sign Knight rather than give him the required three-year contract for first-round picks. He then signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. Miami Marlins
The Miami Marlins are an American professional baseball team based in Miami. The Marlins compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) East division. The club's home ballpark is LoanDepot Park. The franchise began play as an expansion team in the 1993 season as the Florida Marlins. Nicholas James Vincent (born July 12, 1986) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent.
