Ramon Perez
Ramon Perez (born November 20, 1971) is a Dominican-American politician and businessman who serves as a member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives from the 13th district. Elected in 2016, he assumed office in 2017 and left office on January 1, 2019 after his re-election defeat. He was re-elected to the same seat in 2020. Early life Perez was raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Career Perez owned New England Taxi and worked as a founding member of the Taxi Driver Union in Providence, Rhode Island. Perez was an unsuccessful candidate for the Rhode Island Senate in 2012 and 2014. In 2016, he was elected to the Rhode Island House of Representatives. John Carnevale
John M. Carnevale (born September 3, 1961) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives representing District 13 from January 2009 to January 2017. Education Carnevale earned his BS from Roger Williams University. Career Carnevale was a Providence Police sergeant until March 2007, when, at age 45, he began his retirement on a $45,649 disability pension. In 2008 he began his legislative career, running unopposed to be representative of District 13, which spans Providence and Johnston. Carnevale's late brother was Anthony Carnevale, a former Rhode Island magistrate who also served as a state representative from Providence and Johnston for 12 years starting in 1976, and for whom an elementary school in Providence is named after. Moira Jayne Walsh (born August 23, 1990) is an American activist and politician who represented the 3rd district in the Rhode Island House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. Walsh is a member of the Democratic Party. Early life Walsh was born August 23, 1990. She was raised in the Providence neighborhood of Smith Hill and attended Classical High School, a public magnet school in Providence. After high school, she became a waitress.
