Ramon Antonio Nery
Ramon Antonio Nery (born August 10, 1961, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic) is a Dominican former professional boxer, who was once ranked in the top ten in the world among Flyweight boxers by the World Boxing Association, and who once fought for the WBA's world Flyweight championship. At a regional level, Nery was the Dominican Republic's national Flyweight champion. Nery was born with deafness, and his boxing nickname was "sordito", which means "(little) deaf (person)" in Spanish. Nery's condition meant he had to have special lights installed on the ring's corners when he fought; that way he could tell when a round began or finished. Santos Laciar
Santos Benigno Laciar (born January 31, 1959), known familiarly as Santos Laciar and nicknamed Falucho, is an Argentine who was boxing's world flyweight and super flyweight champion. Biography Laciar was born in Huinca Renancó, in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. Laciar began his career in his hometown, on December 3 of 1976, knocking out Carlos Maliene in four rounds. After three more wins, all by knockout, he was faced with Alejandro Holguin, who held him to a ten-round draw, becoming the first boxer to face Laciar and not come out on the losing end. After three more wins, he drew once again, this time against Jose Ibiris, but in his next fight, he was able to take the Córdoba State Flyweight title away from Carlos Reyes Sosa in Villa María with a 12-round decision. Roberto Clemente Coliseum
Roberto Clemente Coliseum (Spanish: ''Coliseo Roberto Clemente'') is a sports and concert arena located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was, for many years, Puerto Rico's largest indoor event facility, and remains one of the largest. General information The Coliseum is named after baseball hall of famer Roberto Clemente, who died in a plane crash off Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Carolina in 1972, while flying with relief articles to be given to victims of the Nicaragua earthquake. Construction of the facility began in the early 1970s, it was finished in January 1973, and inaugurated in February of that year by the Fania All-Stars. Lee Seung-hoon (Hangul: 이승훈, Hanja: 李承勳; born July 26, 1960) is a South Korean former professional boxer who competed from 1977 to 1989. Pro career Lee early received first two losses to former WBC Light Flyweight champion Netrnoi Sor Vorasingh and future WBA Light Flyweight champion Kim Hwan-jin after making his pro debut in 1977. However, Lee won the Korean Flyweight title in 1978 and beat future WBC Flyweight champion Prudencio Cardona in a non-title bout by decision in 1979. In 1980, he moved up in weight to super flyweight but unsuccessfully challenged Rafael Orono for the vacant WBC Super Flyweight title in Caracas, Venezuela, losing by a highly controversial split decision. Victor Callejas (born November 12, 1960) is a Puerto Rico, Puerto Rican former boxing, boxer who was world Junior Featherweight champion. Early history Callejas compiled a record of 36 wins and 4 defeats as an amateur boxer, and in 1979, he decided to turn professional. That he did on the night of February 18 of that year.
