Ramiz Mustafayev
Ramiz Haji oghlu Mustafayev ( az, Ramiz Hacı oğlu Mustafayev, October 16, 1926 — April 10, 2008) was an Azerbaijani composer, People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR, Laureate of the Shohrat Order. Biography Ramiz Mustafayev was born on October 16, 1926, in Leninsk. In 1941 he entered the acting faculty of the Theater College. During his education, he worked as an actor at the Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators, and then at the Azerbaijan State Academic Drama Theatre. In 1948, he entered the Hajibeyov Azerbaijan State Conservatoire and studied in the class of Professor Bulbul. In 1952 he successfully graduated from the vocal faculty of the Conservatory. He is the author of the operas ''"Vaqif", "Polad", "Aydın", "Şirin", "Xan və əkinçi", "Tərs keçi"''. From 1968 to 1973, R. Mustafayev worked as the secretary of the Composers Union of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators () is a theatre located in the centre of Baku, Azerbaijan. History of the theater Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators (ASTYS) was founded in 1928 as Baku Children’s Theater according to the Decision of the Commissariat of Public Enlightenment of Azerbaijan dated September 20, 1928. Gullu Haji Naim Mustafa gizi Mustafayeva ( az, Güllü Hacı Naim Mustafa qızı Mustafayeva, November 29, 1919 — May 18, 1994) was a Soviet Azerbaijani artist and portrait painter. She was awarded the title of People's Artist of Azerbaijan. Biography Gullu Mustafayeva was born on November 29, 1919, in Charjuy (now Türkmenabat), Turkestan ASSR (now Turkmenistan). She was originally from Shamakhi. In 1927 she moved with her family from Turkmenia to Baku, Old City. Mustafayeva graduated from Azerbaijan State Art College in 1938. Mustafayeva created portraits of labor heroes, figures of science and art of her time. Some of these are the portraits of the two-time Hero of Socialist Labor Basti Bagirova, ophthalmologist, doctor of medical sciences Umnisa Musabayova, neurologist, doctor of medical sciences Zahra Salayeva, people's artist Sattar Bahlulzade. Seyid Azim Shirvani
Seyid Azim Shirvani ( az, Seyid Əzim Şirvani; 9 July 1835, Shamakhy – 1 June 1888, Shamakhy) was an Azerbaijani poet and enlightener. He got his first religious education in Iraq. After returning to motherland he refused his spiritual dignity and opened a private school. Seyid Azim Shirvani continued Fuzûlî’s traditions in his love-lyrical poems. In his satirical poems and fables Seyid Azim Shirvani ridiculed priesthood, opposed backwardness and ignorance, called to enlightenment and culture. Contemporary poets consider him their teacher. Education and Teaching Seyid Azim Shirvani was born in Shamakhi, in family of a clergyman. He lost his father early, and his grandfather undertook a care of him. The Composers Union of Azerbaijan ( az, Azərbaycan Bəstəkarlar İttifaqı) is a non-governmental organization that unites and officially represents professional composers and musicologists in Azerbaijan. Bulbul, ( az, Bülbül, born Murtuza Rza oghlu Mammadov, 22 June 1897 – 26 September 1961) was a famous Azerbaijani and Soviet opera tenor, folk music performer, and one of the founders of vocal arts and national musical theatre in Azerbaijan. Biography Bulbul was born in 1897 in Khanbaghi, a hamlet in the former royal gardens between Shusha and Khankandi. His mother was from the village of Pareular, the daughter of a nomad Kurd. He was known for his musical talent since his childhood, which is why people nicknamed him Bulbul ("nightingale" in Azerbaijani). He chose it as a stage name when he became involved in professional music. While still a young khananda, he was invited to Baku in 1920 to perform the role of Karam in Uzeyir Hajibeyov's opera ''Asli and Karam''. The Hajibeyov Baku Academy of Music (Azeri: ''Hacıbəyov adına Bakı Musiqi Akademiyası'') is a music school in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was established in 1920 in Baku and was previously known as the Hajibeyov Azerbaijan State Conservatoire. History In 1920, Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov began a movement aimed at propagating classical music among the people. His report presented at the Azerbaijani People's Commissariat of Education (early Soviet analogue of a Ministry of Education) offering the establishment of a high-level music education institution resulted in the approval of his proposal. The Azerbaijan State Academic Drama Theatre ( az, Azərbaycan Akademik Milli Dram Teatrı) is an academic theatre of drama in Baku, Azerbaijan. History of the theatre The theatre has its origins in national holidays and dances. Elements of theatricality were contained in many kinds of national creativity accompanying national festivities, traditional holidays and other occasions.
