Ramaprasad Banik
Ramaprasad Banik (রমাপ্রসাদ বনিক) (1954–2010) was a Bengali theatre actor, director and playwright. He also worked in films and televisions. He started his career at a very early age with ''Putul khela'', which was an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House. This play was directed by Sombhu Mitra. Banik was called protégé of the Sombhu Mitra. Banik wrote and acted in many plays for Bohurupee. In 1981 he left ''Bohurupee'' he created his own theatre group ''Chena Mukh''. In 1991 he created another theatre group "Theatre Passion" He was a very prominent part of the Nehru Children's Museum theatre classes. ''Khal Nayak'' () is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language action crime film produced and directed by Subhash Ghai. The film's plot centers on the escape and attempted capture of criminal Ballu (Sanjay Dutt as antihero) by Inspector Ram (Jackie Shroff) and his cop girlfriend Ganga (Madhuri Dixit). ''Tumi Je Aamar'' () ( bn, তুমি যে আমার) is a 1994 Bengali drama film directed by Inder Sen starring Ranjit Mallick, Anuradha Ray, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Satabdi Roy, Tapas Paul and Indrani Dutta in lead roles. ''Patalghar'' ( bn, পাতাল ঘর "The Underground Chamber" ) is a Bengali science fiction film based on the story of same name by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay and directed by Abhijit Chaudhuri. Plot 150 years in the past, Aghor Sen, a genius scientist living in the village of Nischintipur invents a device that generates sound waves which can put any living being to sleep. The alien Vik exiled from the planet Nyapcha, lands with his space shuttle on the outskirts of Nischintipur. He gets to know about the machine & tries to steal it but Aghor puts him to sleep. With Aghor's death the instrument is lost. 150 years later i.e. in the present day Dr. Bhootnath Nondy finds Aghor Sen's diary mentioning this device.
