Raman Kapur
Raman Kapur is an Indian medical acupuncturist, author and the president of the Indian Society of Medical Acupuncture. He heads the Department of Acupuncture at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi and chairs the Institute of Acupuncture and Natural Medicines, an institution which runs acupuncture courses in affiliation with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. He is the author of three books on acupuncture; ''A Guide to Acupuncture and Tissue Cleansing System'', ''Soft Lasers in Medical Practice'' and ''Acupuncture — Cure for Common Diseases'' and is a collaborator of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for a postgraduate diploma course in acupuncture (PGDACP). Kapur obtained a Bachelor of Medicine degree from the University of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1979. Sunita Kapur
Sunīta was a highly accomplished disciple of the Buddha. He was born in a family of untouchables whose job was of sweeping around the temple area. According to Thanissaro Bhikkhu's translation of the Theragāthā account, Sunīta laments: :"People found me disgusting, :despised me, disparaged me. :Lowering my heart, :I showed reverence to many." Colorpuncture, cromopuncture, or color light acupuncture, is a pseudoscientific alternative medicine practice based on "mystical or supernatural" beliefs which asserts that colored lights can be used to stimulate acupuncture points to promote healing and better health. It is a form of chromotherapy or color therapy. There is no known anatomical or histological basis for the existence of acupuncture points or meridians, and there is no scientific support for the efficacy of colorpuncture. University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) is a medical college in Delhi, India, affiliated with the University of Delhi. It is associated with Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, which serves as the teaching hospital. History The University College of Medical Sciences was founded in 1971 by efforts of the Health Minister of Delhi. The Health Ministry proposed to provide medical education to every student who qualified.
