Rama (video Game)
''Rama'' is a first-person adventure game developed and published by Sierra On-Line in 1996. The game is based on Arthur C. Clarke's books ''Rendezvous with Rama'' (1973) and ''Rama II'' (1989) and supports both DOS and Microsoft Windows. In 1998, a PlayStation version was released in Japan. It is the second Rama game to be produced. The interactive fiction game ''Rendezvous with Rama'' was released in 1984 by Telarium. Gameplay Much of the gameplay is done with the "wristcomp", a device that is used for communication with other characters and mapping or transport to other locations. The player also has in possession a small android based on Puck which will comment and give descriptions of the surrounding objects or events (therefore used as an interface element for examining objects). Artificial gravity is the creation of an inertial force that mimics the effects of a gravitational force, usually by rotation. Artificial gravity, or rotational gravity, is thus the appearance of a centrifugal force in a rotating frame of reference (the transmission of centripetal acceleration via normal force in the non-rotating frame of reference), as opposed to the force experienced in linear acceleration, which by the equivalence principle is indistinguishable from gravity.
