Ralph Garzia
Ralph A. Garzia (May 30, 1921 – January 14, 2009) was an American politician who served as a Democratic Party (United States), Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, District 160, Pennsylvania House of Representatives, 160th district from 1975 to 1978. He was also on the city council and mayor of the borough of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania. Early life and education Garzia was born in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania and graduated from Eddystone High School in 1940. He joined the United States Army in July 1942 and served as a military police officer in the Rhineland and Central Europe during World War II. He worked as a realtor and an equipment operator at the BP Oil Corporation refinery. Career Garzia was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1975 and 1977 terms. The Pennsylvania House of Representatives is the lower house of the bicameral Pennsylvania General Assembly, the legislature of the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. There are 203 members, elected for two-year terms from single member districts. It is the largest full-time state legislature in the country. Linwood is a census-designated place (CDP) in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,281 at the 2010 census. Geography Linwood is located in southern Delaware County at (39.825945, -75.422808). It occupies the eastern half of Lower Chichester and is home to more than 90% of the township's population. It is bordered to the south by the borough of Marcus Hook and to the east by the borough of Trainer. The northern border is with Upper Chichester Township. Stanley R. Kester (May 21, 1929 – June 22, 2020) was an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Delaware County district from 1965 to 1968. Kester also served as a member of Pennsylvania House of Representatives, 160th district from 1969 to 1974. Early life and education Kester was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and graduated from Upper Chester High School. Kester served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1948 and 1950–1951. Kester was a member of the Chester County Republican Committee Executive Board and also served as a justice of the peace and tax assessor for Delaware County from 1963 to 1964.
