Ralph Dutton
The Hon. Ralph Heneage Dutton (5 August 1821 – 8 October 1892), was a British Conservative politician. Background Dutton was the third and youngest son of John Dutton, 2nd Baron Sherborne, by his marriage to the Hon. Mary Legge, only child and heiress of Henry Bilson-Legge, 2nd Baron Stawell. Political career Dutton was elected Member of Parliament for Hampshire South in 1857, a seat he held until 1865, and then represented Cirencester until 1868. Family Dutton married Isabella, daughter of John Mansfield, in 1848. He died in October 1892, aged 71. They had one daughter, Isabella Mary Dutton (1854-1936) who married Sir John Simeon, 4th Baronet Sir John Stephen Barrington Simeon, 4th Baronet DL (31 August 1850 – 1909) was one of the two Members of Parliament for Southampton at the end of the 19th century and the start of the 20th century. Henry Hamlyn-Fane
Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Edward Hamlyn-Fane (5 September 1817 – 27 December 1868), known as Henry Fane until 1861, was a British soldier and Conservative politician. Background Born Henry Fane, he was the eldest son of Reverend Edward Fane, son of Henry Fane, younger son of Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland. His mother was Maria, daughter of Walter Parry Hodges. In 1861 he assumed by Royal licence the additional surname of Hamlyn, which was that of his father-in-law (see below). Military and political career Hamlyn-Fane was a Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Light Dragoons. In 1865 he was returned to Parliament for Hampshire South, a seat he held until November 1868. Family Hamlyn-Fane married Susan Hester, daughter of Sir James Hamlyn-Williams, 3rd Baronet, in 1850, through which marriage Clovelly court, Clovelly, Devon, came into the Fane family. The Hon. Ashley George John Ponsonby (24 June 1831 – 12 January 1898) was a British Liberal politician. Background Ponsonby was a younger son of William Ponsonby, 1st Baron de Mauley, third son of Frederick Ponsonby, 3rd Earl of Bessborough. His mother was Lady Barbara, daughter of Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 5th Earl of Shaftesbury. Political and military career Ponsonby sat as Member of Parliament for Cirencester between 1852 and 1857 and again between 1859 and 1865. He was also a captain in the Grenadier Guards and a Justice of the Peace and Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire. Family Ponsonby married Louisa Frances Charlotte, daughter of Lord Henry Gordon, in 1857. They had two sons and one daughter. He died in January 1898, aged 66. His wife died in February 1910. Allen Alexander Bathurst, 6th Earl Bathurst (19 October 18321 August 1892), known as Allen Bathurst until 1878, was a British peer and Conservative Member of Parliament. Background and education Bathurst was the son of Lieutenant-Colonel the Hon. Thomas Seymour Bathurst, third son of Henry Bathurst, 3rd Earl Bathurst.
