Ralph Beermann
Ralph Frederick Beermann (August 13, 1912 – February 17, 1977) was an American Republican politician and US Representative for Nebraska. Early life Born near Dakota City, Nebraska, Beermann graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and then attended various army specialist schools. Career During World War II, Beermann served in the African and European Theaters in the US Army as part of the 601st Ordnance Battalion and the 301st Ordnance Regiment. After the war, he partnered with his six brothers (the Beermann Brothers) in farming, alfalfa dehydrating and cattle raising in Dakota County, Nebraska. Beermann served as chairman of the Dakota County Republican Central Committee for ten years and organized the Dakota County Young Republicans. Lawrence Brock
Lawrence Brock (August 16, 1906 – August 28, 1968) was a Nebraska Democratic politician. Brock was born near Columbus, Nebraska. He graduated from Leigh High School and then the College of Pharmacy of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1929. He became a pharmacist in Madison, Nebraska. He then became a cattle feeder and farmer and the president of Nebraska Livestock Feeders Association, Cornbelt Livestock Feeders Association, and Northeast Nebraska Rural Electric Association. Brock was a member of the Nebraska Highway Advisory Commission and then a delegate to the 1956 Democratic National Convention He was the chair of the Nebraska Democratic Party from 1954 to 1956.
