Rally Of Tanzania
The Rally of Tanzania is an international rally racing event organised by the Automobile Association of Tanzania. The rally is based in the port city of Dar es Salaam and travels south-west to Pugu, Tanzania, Pugu hills for its competition stages. The event is a round of the African Rally Championship and the Tanzanian National Rally Championship. The event was first run in 2001 as a largely amateur event and was not held again until 2004 when a considerably more ambitions event was held. The rally became part of the African championship in 2005, becoming the opening round of the season. 2013 saw a calendar reshuffle to mid-season as well as a location shift from Bagamoyo to the Pugu Hills. Zimbabwean driver James Whyte (rally driver), James Whyte is the only driver to have scored more than one victory after winning back-to-back in 2009 and 2010. 2014 African Rally Championship Season
The 2014 African Rally Championship was the 34th season of the African Rally Championship (ARC). This championship was the FIA regional zone rally championship for the African continent. The season began March 14 in Côte d'Ivoire, and ended November 9 in Madagascar, after eight events. After a season long battle, Côte d'Ivoire driver Gary Chaynes won the championship by a single point from Zambian driver Mohamed Essa. 2013 African Rally Championship Season
The 2013 African Rally Championship is the 33rd season of the African Rally Championship (ARC). This Championship is the FIA regional rally championship for the African continent. The season began March 1 in Côte d'Ivoire, and ended approximately on November 9 in Madagascar, after eight events. Ugandan driver Jas Mangat leads the championship by eight points over Zambian driver Mohamed Essa and ten over Zambian driver Jassy Singh. Mangat won the Tanzania Rally, was third in the Zambia International Rally and was the second ARC competitor to finish in the Safari Rally. Essa won the Zambia Rally and was the first ARC driver to finish the Safari Rally. Singh has two second places in the ARC from rallies in South Africa and Tanzania. Muhammad ( ar, مُحَمَّد; 570 – 8 June 632 CE) was an Arab religious, social, and political leader and the founder of Islam. 2009 African Rally Championship Season
The 2009 African Rally Championship season was the 29th season of the African Rally Championship. The season consisted of five rallies, beginning on February 20, with the Rally of Tanzania, and ending on August 30 with the conclusion of the Zimbabwe Challenge Rally. Zimbabwe's James Whyte won the championship, winning two of the five rallies during the season.
