Rajyotsava Awards (2019)
The 2019 Rajyotsava Awards ceremony took place at the Ravindra Kalakshetra on 1 November 2019. Awarded annually by the Government of Karnataka, the ceremony saw 64 individuals being awarded for achievements in various fields. The number was chosen to mark the 64th anniversary of the Karnataka Rajyotsava, formation of the State of Karnataka. Ravindra Kalakshetra
Ravindra Kalakshetra is a cultural centre in Bangalore which provides a home for musical and theatrical performances. Located in heart of Bangalore city, it was built to commemorate the birth centenary of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Many well known theatre and film personalities like Umashree, Mukhyamantri Chandru, T. S. Nagabharana, Master Hirannaiah, C. R. Simha, T. N. Seetharam, and Prakash Rai among others have performed at Kalashektra. History In 1959, a high-level committee was formed to build the Kalakshetra under the chairmanship of then chief minister B. D. Dakshina Kannada District
Dakshina Kannada district is a Districts of Karnataka, district of Karnataka states and territories of India, state in India, with its headquarters in the coastal city of Mangalore. It is part of the larger Tulu Nadu region. The district covers an area nestled in between the Western Ghats to its east and the Arabian Sea to its west. Children's literature or juvenile literature includes stories, books, magazines, and poems that are created for children. Modern children's literature is classified in two different ways: genre or the intended age of the reader. Chhote Rahimat Khan
Chhote Rahimat Khan (born 1959), is a Hindustani classical sitar player of the Bande Ali Khan (beenkar) Gharana, taught by his father, Abdul Karim Khan, and grandfather, Ratna Rahimat Khan, as well as his older brothers. Rahimat Khan is the elder brother of Ustad Bale Khan and a young twin brother, Ustad Shafique Khan, Rafique Khan also a sitarist. Belonging to the seventh generation of musicians from Dharwad, Gwalior, he received the majority of his training from his father, Ustad Abdul Karim Khan, although he has also benefited from the influence of his legendary grandfather, Sitar Ratna Rahimat Khan (born 1863). Bhargavi Narayan
Bhargavi Narayan (4 February 1938 – 14 February 2022) was an Indian actress in the Kannada film industry, and a theatre artist in Karnataka, India. Her notable films include '' Eradu Kanasu'', '' Hanthakana Sanchu'', ''Pallavi Anupallavi'', and '' Baa Nalle Madhuchandrake''.
