Rajmond Debevec
Rajmond Debevec (born 29 March 1963) is a Slovenian sport shooter. He has won three Olympic and ten World Championship medals in shooting. He formerly held the world record in the 50 meter rifle 3 positions event. Career Debevec started shooting in 1971 and became a member of the Yugoslavian junior national team in 1979. Debevec joined the Military Sport Squad of the Slovenian Army in 1991 and holds the rank of Warrant Officer. Olympic Games He won his first medal in 1980 by participating in the Junior European Championships. He represented Yugoslavia at the Olympic Games in 1984 and 1988, and Slovenia in 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012. He won gold at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where he competed in the event 50 metre rifle three positions. His appearance at eight Olympic Games are the most ever by a Slovenian or Yugoslavian athlete. Afanasijs Kuzmins
Afanasijs Kuzmins (born 22 March 1947) is a Latvian shooter who won two Olympic medals in the 25 m Rapid Fire Pistol event; gold at the 1988 for the USSR and silver at the 1992 Summer Olympics for Latvia. He also won the 1986 World Championship in 25 m Standard Pistol. Kuzmins trained at the Armed Forces sports society in Riga. He competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics and, by receiving wild card, competed also in the 2008 Summer Olympics. At the age of 61 Kuzmins finished 13th overall in his eighth Olympic appearance. No other shooter has appeared at eight Olympics; four have appeared at seven Olympics. 50 Metre Rifle Three Positions
50 meter rifle three positions (formerly known as one of four free rifle disciplines) is an International Shooting Sport Federation event, a miniature version of 300 meter rifle three positions. It consists of the kneeling, prone, and standing positions, fired in that order, traditionally with 3×40 shots for men and 3×20 shots for women. In January 2018, the number of shots was equalised between genders with the Women's 3x20 being abolished in favour of a 3x40 match identical to the men's event. The caliber is .22 Long Rifle (5.6 mm). In both the men's and women's event, athletes must complete the course of fire within a single time block of 2 hours, 45 minutes. Before January 2018, the Women's 3x20 event had a time limit of 1 hour, 45 minutes. Warrant officer (WO) is a rank or category of ranks in the armed forces of many countries.
