Rajinder Hans
Rajinder Singh Hans (born 10 March 1953) is a former Indian first-class cricketer and coach. He was a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and played for Uttar Pradesh between 1976–77 and 1986–87, taking 340 first-class wickets. Hans moved from his birthplace in Bombay to work for Mohan Meakin in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. In the Ranji Trophy final at Narendra Mohan Sports Stadium against Karnataka in 1977–78, he took 9 for 152, which remain the best figures for Ranji Trophy finals; nevertheless, Uttar Pradesh lost by an innings. He played for Central Zone against touring teams and in the Duleep Trophy from 1976–77 to 1984–85. He was part of the Indian Test squad against the touring Australian team during the 1979–80 series in India, but Dilip Doshi was preferred for the Test team. 1977–78 Ranji Trophy
The 1977–78 Ranji Trophy was the 44th season of the Ranji Trophy. Karnataka won their second title defeating Uttar Pradesh. Highlights * Bombay finished third in the West Zone and failed to qualify for the knockout stage. Gujarat won all their four matches in the West Zone, a rare feat. * Bombay were dismissed for 42 by Gujarat. This is their lowest total in Ranji Trophy. * The loss against Gujarat ended a sequence of 124 matches without defeat for Bombay. Their previous defeat was against Baroda in 1957/58. Jharkhand Cricket Team
The Jharkhand Cricket Team is a first-class cricket team based in the Indian state of Jharkhand. When the old state of Bihar was split into Jharkhand state and Bihar state, the Jharkhand team took the place of the Bihar cricket team, as much of the former's state's cricketing infrastructure was in Jharkhand. History Jharkhand State Cricket Association was formed on November 15, 2000 and the team made its first-class debut in November 2004 against Saurashtra in the 2004/05 Ranji Trophy at Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground, Rajkot. Dilip Doshi
Dilip Rasiklal Doshi (born 22 December 1947) is a former Indian cricketer of Gujarati origin who played in 33 Test matches and 15 One Day Internationals from 1979 to 1983. Doshi is one of only four Test bowlers that played their first Test after the age of thirty, yet went on to take more than 100 wickets, the other three being Clarrie Grimmett, Saeed Ajmal and Ryan Harris.
