Rear Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar, NM is a serving Flag officer in the Indian Navy. He currently serves as the Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet. He earlier served as the Commandant of the Naval War College, Goa, Flag Officer Sea Training and commanded the aircraft carrier from 2019 to 2020. Delhi-class Destroyer
The ''Delhi''-class destroyers are guided-missile destroyers of the Indian Navy. Three ships of this class are in active service. The ''Delhi''-class vessels were the largest vessels to be built in India at the time of their commissioning. The ships were built by Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL) at a cost of each. Development The design and development of the ship class began as "Project 15" in 1980. Initially, the ships were planned to be follow-on frigates of the with the addition of RBU-6000 ASW rocket launchers and gas turbine propulsion. The Special Service Medal is a military service medal of the Indian Armed Forces. The Special Service Medal is awarded under active service conditions for minor operations or operations of short duration. Clasps are awarded with the medal indicating the particular operation for which it is awarded.
