Rajendra Prasad Pandey Cabinet
The Rajendra Prasad Pandey cabinet is the incumbent provincial government of Bagmati Province. It was formed after Rajendra Prasad Pandey was sworn in as Chief Minister on 27 October 2021. The cabinet was expanded to six members 11 November 2021, to 12 members on 14 December 2021 and 18 members on 25 December 2021. Bagmati Province
Bagmati Province ( ne, बाग्मती प्रदेश, ''Bagmati Pradesh'') is one of the seven provinces of Nepal established by the constitution of Nepal. The province is Nepal's second-most populous province and fifth largest province by area. Bagmati is bordered by Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north, Gandaki Province to the west, Province No. 1 to the east, Madhesh Province and the Indian state of Bihar to the south. With Hetauda as its provincial headquarters, the province is also the home to the country's capital Kathmandu, is mostly hilly and mountainous, and hosts mountain peaks including Gaurishankar, Langtang, Jugal, and Ganesh. 1st Bagmati Provincial Assembly
The first Bagmati Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 Nepalese provincial elections, 2017 provincial elections. 110 members were elected to the assembly, 66 of whom were elected through Direct election, direct elections and 44 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 1 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Dormani Poudel and Astalaxmi Shakya served as the chief ministers from the CPN (UML) and Rajendra Prasad Pandey served as chief minister from CPN (Unified Socialist) during the term of the assembly. The seven provinces of Nepal are governed by provincial governments which form the second level of governance in the country; after the federal government. The provincial governments are established, and their structure is defined by Part 13 of the Constitution of Nepal. Legislature Each province has a unicameral provincial legislature, varying in size according to the population of the province.
