''Rajaputhran'' ( Royal Son) is a 1996 Malayalam-language action drama film, directed by Shajoon Kariyal. It stars Suresh Gopi, Vikram, Vijayaraghavan, Shobana and Murali in the lead roles. This was another script written by Ranjith for Suresh Gopi. This was his third huge budget movie in 1996 with simultaneous release in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. The film was a huge hit at the box office. Story Anand, who is a wildlife photographer by profession, has to return from a tour programme upon hearing the shocking news of the unexpected death of his father, M. K. Nair. Shajoon Kariyal is an Indian film director and producer working in Malayalam cinema. Life Shajoon started his film career in 1984, at the age of 21, as an assistant director to I. V. Sasi. Dinesh Panicker is an Indian film producer, actor and TV producer. He entered the film industry in 1989 by producing '' Kireedam'', a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film. K. N. Jagannatha Varma (1 May 1939 – 20 December 2016) was an Indian actor who worked in Malayalam film and television industry. He was also a Kathakali artist. Shobana Chandrakumar Pillai (born 21 March 1970) is an Indian actress and Bharatanatyam dancer. She acts predominantly in Malayalam films along with Telugu and Tamil films with few Hindi, Kannada and English films.
