''Rajanadai'' () is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language crime film directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar. The film stars Vijayakanth, Gautami, Vidhyashree and Seetha. It was released on 28 October 1989. The film was later remade in Hindi by Chandrasekhar as ''Jeevan Ki Shatranj'' (1993). Plot Vijayakanth (Vijayakanth), an honest C.I.D inspector, is married to Seetha ( Seetha) and they have a daughter Shamili (Shamili). Vijayakanth has enough evidence to arrest the dangerous criminal Tiger Kaali ( Charan Raj). Vijayakanth befriends Rekha (Gautami), a C.I.D inspector, without knowing that she is Seetha's friend. Seetha compels Rekha to live with them. Seetha has blood cancer but she hides to her husband. When her husband and her friend know this news, they decide to go in the US for the treatment but Tiger manages to kill Seetha and erases the proofs. ''Jeevan Ki Shatranj'' is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language film directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar, starring Mithun Chakraborty, Farah (actress), Farah, Shilpa Shirodkar. Shamlee, also known as Baby Shamili/Shamlee, (born 10 July 1987), is an Indian actress who has worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam films. ''Dharmam Vellum'' () is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film produced and directed by K. Rangaraj. The film stars Vijayakanth, Sujatha and Gautami. It was released on 28 October 1989, and had an average run at the box office. Plot Jaganath lived with Saradha and his son Vijay with joy, while Saradha's father constantly humiliates him because he does not have enough resources. Disturbed, Jaganath try to explain with Saradha his father's inappropriate behavior towards him. With pride, one evening he abandons his wife and his son for whom he later integrates as police constable. Jaganath comes back to the house where he left them but they have moved. He sees her twenty five years later in crimes she committed and ends up in prison in which Inspector K. Jaganath appears as cop. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs. Narayanan Vijayaraj Alagarswami (born 25 August 1952), better known by his stage name Vijayakanth, is an Indian politician and former actor who has worked predominantly in Tamil cinema.
