Raj Bahadur Singh Chandel
Raj Bahadur Singh Chandel (born 1947) is a Member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and is active in teachers' politics. He is the son of Shri Ram Pal Chandel. Career He retired as a post graduate teacher of chemistry from Raja Shankar Sahay Inter College Unnao in 2001. He has been a Member of Legislative Council of Uttar Pradesh from Teacher Constituency ( Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Unnao ) since 2017. He became active in teacher politics from 1977. First time in 1992 he won the election of Member of Legislative Council Uttar Pradesh for Kanpur Teachers Constituency as Teachers Group candidate. He also won the election of Member of Legislative council Uttar Pradesh for Kanpur Teachers Constituency as Teachers Group candidate in 1998 and 2004. Uttar Pradesh (; , 'Northern Province') is a state in northern India. With over 200 million inhabitants, it is the most populated state in India as well as the most populous country subdivision in the world. It was established in 1950 after India had become a republic. It was a successor to the United Provinces (UP) during the period of the Dominion of India (1947–1950), which in turn was a successor to the United Provinces (UP) established in 1935, and eventually of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh established in 1902 during the British Raj. The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council (Hindi: ''Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Parishad'') is the upper house of the bicameral legislature of Uttar Pradesh, a state in India. Uttar Pradesh is one of the six states in India, where the state legislature is bicameral, comprising two houses: the Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) and the Vidhan Parishad (Legislative Council).
