"Rainy Day and Day" is the first single (music), single by the Japanese group Dragon Ash, which was released in 1997. Their subsequent releases (not including full albums) were either maxi singles or gramophone record, LPs containing three or more tracks until the 2008 release of ''Velvet Touch'', which contains only the title track and B-Side "cover" "La Bamba (song), La Bamba". The following single "Tsunagari Sunset" was also true to its name, with only the title track and B-side "Thought and Action". However, 2009's "Unmei Kyōdōtai" saw a return to their maxi single releases. The title track "Rainy Day and Day" was the opening theme to TV Tokyo#History, Television Tokyo Channel 12, Ltd.'s 1997 anime series Virus Buster Serge. Dragon Ash
is a Japanese rap rock group founded in 1996 by Kenji "KJ" Furuya and Sakurai Makoto. They were one of the first groups to popularize hip hop in Japan. Dragon Ash is a member of Mob Squad, which is an affiliation with the bands Source and Endive. Dragon Ash uses the French fleur-de-lis as their band logo/symbol. History Dragon Ash started out as a punk rock group. Lead singer and guitarist Kenji Furuya, son of actor Ikko Furuya, met drummer Makoto Sakurai when they were junior high students in a Tokyo suburb, and the two started playing together. Though temporarily sidetracked into following in his father's footsteps, Furuya gave up the few acting gigs that he was getting on TV dramas to concentrate on music in high school. La Bamba (song)
"La Bamba" () is a Mexican folk song, originally from the state of Veracruz, also known as "La Bomba". The song is best known from a 1958 adaptation by Ritchie Valens, a Top 40 hit in the U.S. charts. Valens's version is ranked number 345 on ''Rolling Stone magazine''′s list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. "La Bamba" has been covered by numerous artists, notably by Los Lobos whose version was the title track of the 1987 film '' La Bamba'', a bio-pic about Valens; their version reached No. 1 in many charts in the same year. Traditional versions "La Bamba" is a classic example of the ''son jarocho'' musical style, which originated in the Mexican state of Veracruz, and combines Spanish, indigenous, and African musical elements. is a Japanese anime television series directed by Masami Ōbari, produced by Plum, and broadcast on AT-X and TV Tokyo from October 2 to December 19, 1997. It is based on the Sega Saturn adventure game ''Virus'', which was made in collaboration with Hudson Soft and Sega and featured characters designed by Madhouse. A light novel and second video game (for the PlayStation) were also created. In the year 2097 in the city of Neo Hong Kong, man and machine have melded nicely and the city has been blooming with technological advances. However, an entity that takes over the machines called the Virus is becoming a problem. A maxi single or maxi-single (sometimes abbreviated to MCD or CDM) is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks of an A-side song and a B-side song. The first maxi singles Mungo Jerry's first single, "In the Summertime" was the first maxi single in the world. The term came into wide use in the 1970s, where it usually referred to 7-inch vinyl singles featuring one track on the A-side and two on the B-side.
