Emmelie Charlotte-Victoria de Forest (born 28 February 1993) is a Danish singer and songwriter. De Forest represented Denmark with the song "Only Teardrops" in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden, winning the contest. Her debut album ''Only Teardrops'' was released on the Universal Music label on 6 May 2013. Her sophomore studio album ''History'' was released through the Swedish independent label Cosmos Music on 9 February 2018. Lidköping () is a locality and the seat of Lidköping Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had about 40 000 inhabitants in 2021. B&W Hallerne (English: ''The B&W Halls'') is a former industrial complex located on the island of Refshaleøen, Copenhagen, Refshaleøen in Copenhagen, Denmark. Built in the early 1960s by Burmeister & Wain, the complex consists of two large halls which were used to build ships until 1996. Currently, the facilities are used for culture and entertainment activities. On 2 September 2013, Danish public broadcaster DR (broadcaster), DR announced that it had chosen B&W Hallerne as the host venue for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014
Denmark participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Cliche Love Song" written by Lasse Lindorff, Kim Nowak-Zorde, Daniel Fält and Basim. The song was performed by Basim. In addition to participating in the contest, the Danish broadcaster DR also hosted the Eurovision Song Contest after winning the competition in 2013 with the song "Only Teardrops" performed by Emmelie de Forest. DR organised the national final ''Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2014'' in order to select the Danish entry for the 2014 contest in Copenhagen.
