Rainbow Over The Range
''Rainbow Over the Range'' is a 1940 American Western film directed by Albert Herman and written by Robert Emmett Tansey and Roger Merton. The film stars Tex Ritter, Slim Andrews, Dorothy Fay, Gene Alsace, Warner Richmond and James Pierce. The film was released on July 29, 1940, by Monogram Pictures. Plot A gang of horse thieves have killed the sheriff and his deputy and have stolen all the horses that Jeff Manners needs to fulfill his contract with the U. S. Cavalry, then U.S. Marshal Tex Reed and his pal, Slim Chance, arrive in town. Tex then beats gang member Bart Griffin in a fight, Rader and Griffin decide to get Tex out of the way. They frame Jeff, but he joins forces with Tex in time to stop another horse raid in which Slim is injured. Albert Herman
Albert Herman (1887–1958) was an American actor, screenwriter and film director. Herman was a prolific director, working mainly on low-budget movies for companies such as Producers Releasing Corporation. He is sometimes credited as Al Herman. Dennis Moore (actor)
Dennis Moore (born Dennis Meadows; January 26, 1908 – March 1, 1964) was an actor who specialized in Western films and film serials. Early years Moore was born Dennis Meadows in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended schools in El Paso. He was active in aviation and had a pilot's license. Before going into films, he worked in stock theater. A plane crash nearly ended his life. After more than a year spent in a hospital and two additional years of recovery, he could not pass the physical examination for a pilot's license, so he chose to change from aviation to acting. Career Moore began appearing in short subjects and low-budget feature films in the 1930s under the name Denny Meadows and enjoyed greater recognition and employment after he changed his professional name to Dennis Moore. Edward Finney
Edward Francis Finney (1903–1983) was an American film producer and director.Pitts p.174 He is best known as the man who introduced cowboy singer Tex Ritter to the moviegoing public. Biography Finney was educated at the City College of New York, and became an engineer at Western Electric. He entered the motion picture industry as a prop man for silent-comedy producer C.C. Burr. Finney was a born salesman and his persuasive ideas landed him a job with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer as press sheet editor.
