Raimundo Tupper
Raimundo Tupper Lyon (1 January 1969 – 20 July 1995) was a Chilean professional football player, best known for his years with Universidad Católica. He was a left back. Club career Born into a family of five children (four males and one female). He studied at the St. Ignatius El Bosque, and joined the lower divisions of Universidad Católica in 1980, his first coach being former national team player Alberto Fouillioux. He made his debut with the first team in 1985 against with Cobresal in the city of El Salvador. In 1987, he won the national title with Universidad Católica. In 1989 Tupper joined Diego Portales University to study Engineering, which he did not finish. That year he won the Liguilla Pre-Libertadores (Chile) against Cobreloa, which enabled Católica to play in the Copa Libertadores. The Copa Chile (''Chile Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (''Opening Championship''), played from 1933 to 1950. The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; ( Primera División, Primera B & Segunda División), down to teams from the ANFA: Tercera División. Club Deportivo Ñublense () is a professional football team based in Chillán, Ñuble Region, Chile. The club was formed in 1916 under the name of Liceo Fútbol Club. They compete in Chile's Primera División league. History Amateur era Ñublense was formed in 1916 by a group of teenagers (led by Chillán teacher Manuel Lara Gutiérrez) who founded a sports club as a haven for sports activities in the city. On 20 August of that year, in the boys' high school the club was called the Liceo Fútbol Club. Other sports sponsored included basketball and boxing. Javier Andrés González Tupper, (born 26 February 1988) is a Venezuelan former footballer who played as a defender. In 2016, González retired from football and was selected to participate in the 17th edition of the FIFA Master. After graduating, he worked in Switzerland for Sportradar, and later moved to Asunción to work for FIFA's Development Office. Career González began his collegiate career playing for the NCAA Division I St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers. He played all four years, from 2006–2009, as a defender and appeared in 68 matches for St. Francis, tallying six goals, four assists and 16 career points. While a member of the Terriers, González was selected to play for Venezuela's U-20 National Team at the South American Youth Championships in 2006. Estadio San Carlos de Apoquindo is a football stadium, in Las Condes in the metropolitan region of Santiago de Chile. It is used mostly for home matches stadium of the Chilean top club CD Universidad Católica which also owns the stadium. The stadium was built in 1988 and currently holds 14,118 people. Deportivo Saprissa is a Costa Rican sports club, mostly known for its football team. The club is based in San Juan de Tibás, San José, and play their home games at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá. The team's signature colours are purple (burgundy) and white.
