Railey Creek is a stream in Stone County, Missouri. It is a tributary of the James River which it joins just south of Galena.''Missouri Atlas & Gazetteer,'' DeLorme, 1998, First edition, p. 62, The stream source is just northwest of Reeds Spring and the confluence with the James River is just south of Galena. The roughly parallel stream Wilson Run enters the James about one mile to the south. The Missouri Pacific Railroad line follows the course of the stream between Reeds Spring and Galena. Isham Railey McConnell (born 1916, Versailles, Kentucky; died October 26, 2002, Bedford, Massachusetts, aged 86) was an architect who studied for a year under Frank Lloyd Wright and later at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (class of 1953). Early life and education McConnell was born to John M. McConnell and Louise Sharon Railey in Versailles, Kentucky, where his family owned a large farm. He attended but dropped out of University of Kentucky and instead became a student of Frank Lloyd Wright in 1939, first at Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin and later the same year at Taliesin West, Scottsdale, Arizona. He served in the Pacific during World War II as an Army engineer, enlisting in 1942. He began an architecture degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1949. Paige Railey (born May 15, 1987 in Clearwater, Florida) is an American sailor who races in the Laser Radial division. She has been a member of U.S. Sailing Team since 2005 and is also a member of the Harken and McLube Speedteam. She was awarded in 2006 the ISAF World Sailor of the Year Award and the U.S. Sailing's Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year.
