Jayant Kumar Malaiya (born 20 February 1947) is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was a member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Damoh constituency since 1990, but lost in 2018 Madhya Pradesh Assembly election. Political career Malaiya was elected from Damoh Legislative Assembly for the first time in the sub-election for the seventh assembly in 1984. Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held on 28 November 2018 to elect members of the 230 constituencies in Madhya Pradesh. It is believed that the election was a direct political battle between the BJP and the INC.
