Rahsaan Islam
Rahsaan Nur Islam ( , ; born 24 September 1986) is an American actor, director, and writer known for his work in the Bengali film industry. He made his debut in ''Simanaheen'' (2013) and broke out to gain international recognition in 2018 for acting in and directing the commercially successful romance ''Bengali Beauty''. Born and raised in Chicago, Noor began his career by acting in commercials for Bengali and Bangladeshi television. His first film role was a supporting character in the independent American social drama Promise Land (2013), and in another early role, he went on to star in the crime drama The Spectacular Jihad of Taz Rahim (2015). Noor has been credited with "putting new-age Bengali cinema on a global map," and has been further recognized by many to be "one of the great new talents of our time." ''Bengali Beauty'' ( bn, বাঙালি বিউটি) is a Bangladeshi Period film, period romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Rahsaan Noor. It stars Noor as a brash radio deejay and Mumtaheena Toya as a demure medical student, who fall in love in Dhaka during a politically turbulent 1975. Sarah Alam and Ashfique Rizwan make their feature film debuts in supporting roles. Ladda Tammy Duckworth (born March 12, 1968) is an American politician and retired Army National Guard lieutenant colonel serving as the junior United States senator from Illinois since 2017. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury ( bn, মিজানুর রহমান চৌধুরী; 19 October 1928 – 2 February 2006) was a Bengali politician, most notable for serving as Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 9 July 1986, to 27 March 1988. Personal life Chowdhury was born in Chandpur District, in what is now Bangladesh. In college, he was involved in student politics. Adamjee Jute Mill was a jute mill in Bangladesh. It was established in Narayanganj in 1950 by the Adamjee Group. It was the second jute mill in East Pakistan (present day Bangladesh) after Bawa Jute Mill which was first Jute Mill in East Pakistan (Present day Bangladesh). Gradually, the mill became the largest jute mill in the world, exceeding the jute mills of Calcutta (now Kolkata), India, and Dundee, Scotland.
