Ragnhild Bratberg
Ragnhild Bratberg (born 9 June 1961) is a Norwegian orienteering competitor and a cross-country skier. In orienteering, she won the overall Orienteering World Cup in 1988, and represented Norway several times in the World Orienteering Championships relays, winning medals in 1985, 1987 and 1991. In ski orienteering she won four individual gold medals at the World Ski Orienteering Championships, and once in the relay. She was awarded Egebergs Ærespris in 1988. Ringsaker
is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Hedemarken. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Brumunddal. Ski Orienteering
Ski orienteering (SkiO) is a cross-country skiing endurance winter racing sport and one of the four orienteering disciplines recognized by the IOF. A successful ski orienteer combines high physical endurance, strength and excellent technical skiing skills with the ability to navigate and make the best route choices while skiing at a high speed. Standard orienteering maps are commonly used, but since 2019, a separate mapping standard ISSkiOM has been produced which recommends a subset of the symbols used in other disciplines. Ski-orienteering maps uses green symbols to indicate trails and tracks and different symbols to indicate their navigability in snow; other symbols indicate whether any roads are snow-covered or clear. Female (symbol: ♀) is the sex of an organism that produces the large non-motile ova (egg cells), the type of gamete (sex cell) that fuses with the male gamete during sexual reproduction. Grete Ingeborg Nykkelmo
Grete Ingeborg Nykkelmo (born 25 December 1961) is a former biathlete and cross-country skier from Norway. She competed in both events from 1982 to 1992. She won four medals at the 1985 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld with a gold in the 20 km, a silver in the 4 × 5 km relay, and bronzes in the 5 km and 10 km. At the 1991 Biathlon World Championships in Lahti, she won a gold medal in the 7.5 km sprint and silvers in the 15 km individual and the 3 × 7.5 km relay. In 1980 she became Norwegian champion in 10 km cross-country running, representing Selbu IL. On the same distance she won one silver medal (1981) and three bronze medals (1979, 1982, 1985). Oddvar Brå
Oddvar Brå (born 16 March 1951) is a Norwegian former cross-country skier. He was among the best skiers in Norway, the three-times winner of the World Cup (1972–73, then named "World ranking", 1974–75 and 1978–79) and the winner of 16 national championships. His success in the major international championships was more modest. Career Brå participated in the 1972 Winter Olympics and the 1991 Holmenkollen ski festival, but his first individual major international win was at the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo, where he won the 15 km event. In this championship, he also tied for the gold medal with Alexander Zavyalov of the Soviet Union in the relay after a dramatic finish in which his pole broke.
