Ragnarok (manhwa)
is a manhwa created by Lee Myung-jin and published by Daiwon C.I. in South Korea. There are currently 10 volumes in circulation, published in English in North America by Tokyopop from May 21, 2002 to April 6, 2004. The series is mainly based on Norse mythology but is influenced by various other cultures. It falls into the genres of fantasy, action and adventure. This manhwa became the basis of the widely popular Korean MMORPG, ''Ragnarok Online'' developed by Gravity Corp, which in turn was the basis for an adaptation into the anime, ''Ragnarok the Animation''. Currently, ''Ragnarok'' is on indefinite hiatus as Lee Myung-jin is helping with the development of ''Ragnarok Online''. Story ''Ragnarok'' follows the life and adventures of the warrior Chaos, who is an amnesiac that cannot remember anything from before the last two years in his life. Lee Myung-jin
Lee Myoung-jin (born 1974) is a South Korean manhwa author and artist. His work '' Ragnarok'' was adapted into the game Ragnarok Online by Gravity Corp. This game was later turned into an anime. History Lee Myoung-Jin was born in South Korea in 1974 and graduated from Holy Child Catholic School, Seoul with a degree in Visual Design. In 1992 he began work on his first manhwa series, ''It's Going to be a Wonderful Night'', which ran for 4 years (nine volumes) and won him the distinguished Champ Super Manhwa award from Super Champ, South Korea's top manhwa publisher. In August 1995 he put his artistic career on hold to serve his mandatory two years in the South Korean military. Upon his return, he formed his studio Dive to Dream Sea and began work on ''Ragnarok'' (for Champ Comics), one of the top-selling manhwa of all time. Witchcraft traditionally means the use of Magic (supernatural), magic or supernatural powers to harm others. A practitioner is a witch. ''Ragnarok: The Animation'' is a Japanese-Korean anime television series based on the MMORPG ''Ragnarok Online''. The story happens in the same world of Rune-Midgard. An evil entity called the Dark Lord wants to create chaos in the world with the help of seven crystals that represent the seven ambitions (also known as the Seven Strengths) who sealed him away years ago.
