''Raggs'' is a live-action/animated television series for children about five dogs that form a Ragtime band called The Raggs Band. There are 196 half hour episodes and 200 original songs in multiple languages. It was originally produced in Sydney, Australia, with additional production in the United States in English and Spanish. It was first broadcast in Australia on the Seven Network on January 2, 2006. In 2014, The Raggs Band reunited to record 20 classic kid's songs. Animation is a filmmaking technique whereby still images are manipulated to create moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film. ''Hey Arnold!'' is an American animated sitcom created by Craig Bartlett for Nickelodeon. It originally aired from October 7, 1996, to June 8, 2004. The show centers on fourth grader Arnold Shortman, who lives with his grandparents in an inner-city tenement in the fictional city of Hillwood. Episodes center on his experiences navigating urban life while dealing with the zany hijinks he and his friends encounter. Many episodes, however, focus on other characters, including major, secondary, supporting, and even minor characters. Bartlett's idea for the show is based on a minor character named Arnold who he created while working on '' Pee-wee's Playhouse''. Mark Valenti is an Emmy-nominated American writer known for movies, TV series and novels. Career biography Valenti began his entertainment career as an actor with the St. Louis theatrical troupe the City Players. He moved to Los Angeles and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute under Sally Kirkland and Marc Marno.
