Raggasonic
Raggasonic are a French ragga group composed of Big Red (born Stéphane Joaquim), Daddy Mory (born Mory Samaké) and Frenchie They were discovered after the compilation ''Rapattitude'' was released in the early 1990s. Two official albums were released by Raggasonic: ''Raggasonic'' (1995) and ''Raggasonic 2'' (1997), both produced by Frenchie. The two members of Raggasonic, Big Red and Daddy Mory each pursuing solo careers. In 2012 they came back with a new album, ''Raggasonic 3''. Ragga
Raggamuffin music, usually abbreviated as ragga, is a subgenre of dancehall and reggae music. The instrumentals primarily consist of electronic music. Similar to hip hop, sampling often serves a prominent role in raggamuffin music. Wayne Smith's " Under Mi Sleng Teng", produced by King Jammy in 1985 on a Casio MT-40 synthesizer, is generally recognized as the seminal ragga song. "Sleng Teng" boosted Jammy's popularity immensely, and other producers quickly released their own versions of the riddim, accompanied by dozens of different vocalists. Ragga is now mainly used as a synonym for dancehall reggae or for describing dancehall with a deejay chatting rather than singjaying or singing on top of the riddim. La Haine
''La Haine'' (, ; released in the United States as ''Hate'') is a 1995 French crime drama film written, co-edited, and directed by Mathieu Kassovitz. Starring Vincent Cassel, Hubert Koundé and Saïd Taghmaoui, the film chronicles a day and night in the lives of three friends from a poor immigrant neighbourhood in the suburbs of Paris. Matthieu Kassovitz
Mathieu Kassovitz (; born 3 August 1967) is a French actor, film director, film producer and screenwriter. He is the founder of MNP Entreprise, a film production company. He has won three César Awards: Most Promising Actor for ''See How They Fall'' (1994), and Best Film and Best Editing for ''La Haine'' (1995). Starkey Banton, also known as Starkey Super (born David Murray, 15 November 1962), is a British reggae deejay known for his "cultural" lyrics, active since the mid-1970s. PIAS Recordings (formerly Play It Again Sam) is a Belgian record label founded in 1983 by Kenny Gates and Michel Lambot. Play It Again Sam expanded along with other European independent labels in the early 1980s.
