Rafael Villagómez Jr. (born 10 November 2001) is a Mexican race car driver who is currently competing in the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Van Amersfoort Racing. He won the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy competition in 2019. Career summary Lower formulae In 2020 Villagómez made his car racing debut in the French F4 Championship, whilst also competing part-time with Fortec Motorsport in the F4 British Championship. He achieved a second-place finish at Le Castellet and, with 121 points, finished sixth in the championship. In the British series he scored a maiden podium finish with third in only his second race. The Dallara F3 2019 is an open-wheel racing car developed by Italian manufacturer Dallara for use in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, a feeder series for Formula One. The F3 2019 is the first car used by the FIA Formula 3 Championship and was introduced for the championship's inaugural season. KF2, is a kart racing class for top drivers aged 14 and up. This class used to be called Intercontinental A (ICA) and has changed since January 2007 when CIK-FIA decided to replace the 100 cc water-cooled two-stroke engines with 125 cc Touch-and-Go (TaG) water-cooled two-stroke engines (KF type). The engines produce . The KF2 class karts use hand-operated front brakes via a lever. The chassis must be approved by the CIK-FIA. Minimum weight with driver is 160 kg for national and 158 kg for international events. Karts are equipped with an electric starter and a centrifugal clutch. The engine rpm is limited at 15,000 rpm. The 2023 Formula Regional Middle East Championship was a multi-event, Formula Regional open-wheel single seater motor racing championship. The championship featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars. It was the inaugural season of the championship, using the venues and dates for what was originally planned to be the Formula Regional Asian Championship, with the Asian Championship then being relaunched in October of the same year.
