Rafael Navarro (born 1967 in Sonora, Mexico) is an independent American comic-book artist best known for creating the Xeric Award winning series, '' Sonambulo'', which cleverly blends elements of Lucha Libre and the noir genre. He has collaborated with Keith Rainville and has had work featured in Rainville's '' From Parts Unknown Publications''. Navarro also has experience in storyboarding and has acted as a contributor to several animated television series as '' Rugrats'' and '' ¡Mucha Lucha!''. Rafael "Rafa" Jesús Navarro Mazuecos (born 24 February 1994) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right back for Croatian club NK Istra 1961, on loan from Deportivo Alavés. Club career Born in Salteras, Seville, Andalusia, Navarro represented Sevilla FC, Coria CF and Real Betis as a youth. He made his senior debut with the latter's B-team on 2 December 2012, starting in a 2–3 home loss against CD San Roque de Lepe in the Segunda División B. On 2 August 2013, Navarro signed for CD Gerena of the Tercera División. He was an undisputed starter for the club during the campaign, and subsequently returned to Betis and its reserve team on 4 July 2014. Rafael "Rafa" Navarro Rivas (born 10 January 1972) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a winger, and is a manager. Playing career Born in Córdoba, Andalusia, Navarro joined Sevilla FC's youth setup at the age of 17, from Córdoba CF. In 1991, after finishing his formation, he returned to his previous club and was assigned to the main squad in Segunda División B. For the 1995–96 campaign, Navarro moved straight to La Liga, joining Sporting de Gijón after a one-year spell at Real Jaén in the third division. However, he only featured in two Copa del Rey matches for the side before being loaned to Segunda División side Villarreal CF. After featuring sparingly, Navarro left the ''Rojiblancos'' and moved to Recreativo de Huelva in the third division, in 1997. Rafael Navarro Núñez (April 25, 1946 – July 27, 2015) was a Spanish painter. Biography Nuñez studied at ''la'' ''Escuela de Artes Aplicadas'' ''y Oficios Artísticos de Córdoba'' (the Córdoba School of Arts and Crafts), and in 1968 began advanced studies in the Santa Isabel of Hungary School of Fine Arts in Seville. In 1970, he joined the Saint Fernando School of Fine Arts of Madrid, where he spent three years dedicated to painting, silkscreen printing, mural art, the xylography and chalcography. At the same time, he undertook four courses in Drawing in the ''Círculo de Bellas Artes'' in Madrid. From 1980 to 1986, Nuñez served as professor at the Córdoba School of Arts and Crafts, eventually leaving to devote himself entirely to painting. He died in 2015. Rafael Navarro Garralaga (born 8 October 1940 in Zaragoza) is a Spanish art photographer. Biography Navarro's interest in photography began in the 1970s, starting his career on theatre and sports photography. But finally, he became very fond of visual arts where he started to develop a more personal language. We can point out of his career on the photograph series that he has actually broken up with the medium and that he has contributed to the creation of an alternative photographic discourse, as for example the diptychs, which a combination of two images appear without connection, offering a photographic different and unusual view. He was very active in the world of photography, founding in 1977 with Manuel Esclusa, Joan Fontcuberta y Pere Formiquera, the group Alabern. Rafael Navarro-Gonzalez, also known as Rafael Navarro-González and Rafael Navarro, was a Mexican NASA astrobiologist who worked with the ''Curiosity'' rover on the planet Mars, and who helped lead researchers in the identification of ancient organic compounds on the planet. He was an internationally recognized scientist who merged laboratory simulations, field studies and modeling based on biology, chemistry and physics. Navarro-Gonzalez noted the significance of volcanic lightning in the origin of life on Earth. His professional work included the SAM component on the Mars Science Laboratory, and the HABIT instrument on the Exomars mission. He died from complications of COVID-19 on January 28, 2021. In April 2021, NASA named a mountain, "Rafael Navarro Mountain", on the planet Mars in his honor.
