Rafael Bernabe Riefkohl
Rafael Bernabe Riefkohl (born 1959) is a Puerto Rican historian, sociologist, professor and politician. He is currently an elected member of the Puerto Rico Senate representing the Citizen’s Victory Movement. He was the candidate for governor for the Working People's Party of Puerto Rico in 2012 and 2016. He has socialist beliefs and ideals, and is heavily critical of the New Progressive Party and Popular Democratic Party. Santurce (, from the Basque ''Santurtzi'' which means Saint George) is a barrio or district in the municipality of San Juan. Its population in 2020 was 69,469. It is also the biggest and most populated of all the barrios in the capital city with a bigger population than most municipalities of Puerto Rico and one of the most densely populated areas of the island (13,257.4 persons per square mile). The New Progressive Party ( es, Partido Nuevo Progresista, PNP) is a political party in Puerto Rico that advocates statehood. The PNP is one of the two major parties in Puerto Rico with significant political strength and currently holds both the seat of the governor and of the resident commissioner. Working People's Party Of Puerto Rico
The Working People's Party ( es, Partido del Pueblo Trabajador or PPT) was a Puerto Rican political party. It was founded on December 5, 2010, in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, by a group of activists, students, teachers, professors, union workers, actors, and public and private employees. As of 2016, the party had no opinion on the issue of the political status of Puerto Rico, instead saying that they believe the decision should be made by the people of Puerto Rico in a referendum.
