Alexandru Radu (born 7 September 1982) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. In his career Radu, who is nicknamed "The Cat", played almost only for teams from Ilfov County: FC Snagov, Concordia Chiajna, Berceni, SC Popești-Leordeni and Sportul Snagov, the only exception being Viitorul Axintele. In the summer of 2018 Radu announced his retirement, becoming a fitness coach. Florian Radu
Florian Radu (8 April 1920 – 10 November 1991) was a Romanian footballer who played for hometown club Rapid București. When the Communists took over Romania, Radu moved abroad in Italy and France playing for AS Roma, Cosenza, Marsala and few other teams until his retirement in 1956. Radu has earned only one cap for Romania on 11 October 1942 in a 2–2 draw against Croatia scoring on his debut. He served as head coach for Stade Athletique Spinalien in France. Paul Radu
Paul Radu is an investigative journalist based in Bucharest, Romania. He is the director of the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, for which he and cofounder Drew Sullivan received the Special Award by the European Press Prize. He is also one of the cofounders of the Romanian Center for Investigative Journalism. He investigates transnational crime in Eastern Europe. He has received multiple international awards for his journalism. He believes that journalists should not be activists, but should rather trust that objective journalism is a sufficient contribution to whatever causes one might otherwise advocate. He teaches at the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network Summer School of Investigative Reporting. Michael Radu
Mihai S. Radu (April 29, 1947 – March 25, 2009) was a Romanian American political scientist and journalist who grew up in Romania. He was Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Co-Chairman of FPRI's Center on Terrorism, Counter-Terrorism, and Homeland Security. Early life and education Radu was born in Romania on April 29, 1947. Michael's mother had been born in Rockford, Illinois to Romanian immigrants. Radu was educated at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj (1965–1975) before emigrating to the United States in 1976. He earned his PhD in international relations from Columbia University in 1992, focusing on Africa. He was a visiting senior lecturer on African politics at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Marin Radu (born 15 March 1956) is a retired Romanian football striker and manager, best known for his playing stints with Argeș Pitești and Steaua București. His brother, Nicolae was also a footballer who played at Argeș Pitești, they managed to win the 1978–79 Divizia A championship together. International career Marin Radu played 7 games at international level for Romania, making his debut on 12 May 1976 when coach Ștefan Kovács sent him on the field in the 60th minute to replace Stelian Anghel in a 1–0 away loss against Bulgaria at the 1973–76 Balkan Cup first leg final, also appearing in the 3–2 home victory in the second leg of the final. His third game was also against Bulgaria, a 2–0 home victory at the successful 1977–80 Balkan Cup. Radu also played in a 1–1 against Cyprus at the Euro 1980 qualifiers.
