Radojica Živanović Noe
Radojica Živanović Noe (Belgrade, 1903 – Belgrade, 1944) was a painter and graphic artist of the period of Surrealism and a writer. He left a small number of compositions, still lifes, landscapes and drawings. The most significant period of Živanović's artistic creation is his affiliation with the Surrealist movement (1930–33). He was one of the thirteen signatories of the Manifesto of Surrealism and the only professional painter in the group of artists who initiated the Belgrade Surrealist movement. He published surrealist works in the ''Almanac Nemoguće-L'Impossible'' and magazine ''Surrealism today and here''. He is the first and most consistent surrealist in Yugoslav painting. He replaced the surrealist phase by painting still lifes in the manner of Paul Cézanne, a landscape from Serbia under the influence of classical Impressionism and realistic portraits. Draga Mašin
Draginja "Draga" Obrenović ( sr-cyr, Драгиња "Драга" Обреновић; 11 September 1867 – ), formerly Mašin (Машин), was the Queen consort of Serbia as the wife of King Aleksandar Obrenović. She was formerly a lady-in-waiting to Aleksandar's mother, Queen Natalija (until 1897). Early life Draga was the fourth daughter of Panta Lunjevica, a prefect of the Aranđelovac area, and wife Anđelija (''née'' Koljević). Draga was the sixth of seven siblings. She had two brothers, Nikola and Nikodije, and four sisters, Hristina, Đina, Ana and Vojka. Draga's mother was a dipsomaniac and her father died in a lunatic asylum. Draga was the granddaughter of Nikola Lunjevica, a relative of Princess Ljubica of Serbia and close comrade of Prince Miloš, her husband's great-granduncle. Dorćol
Dorćol ( sr-cyr, Дорћол; ) is an affluent urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Stari Grad. Located along the right bank of the Danube, Dorćol is oldest surviving neighborhood in Belgrade. It is known for its specific urban charm and the mentality of its residents. The neighborhood has experienced artistic revival since the 2000s concurrently with the Savamala neighborhood on the opposite, Sava, bank. After being featured in numerous reports, including by the BBC and ''The Guardian'', '' Time Out'' magazine placed Dorćol on their list of "50 coolest neighborhoods". „Cvijeta Zuzorić“ Art Pavilion ( sr, Уметнички павиљон "Цвијета Зузорић", ) is an exhibition building in Belgrade, in Kalemegdan, situated in the park's section of Little Kalemegdan, next to the south-eastern front of the Belgrade fortress. It was built between 1927 and 1928 after the design of the architect Branislav Kojić, in the Art Deco architectural style. The cover of the first issue of ''Nadrealizam danas i ovde'' from June 1931. ''Nadrealizam danas i ovde'' ('Surrealism Here and Now') was the official magazine of the Serbian surrealists from the 1930s. It was known as NDIO for short. In 1929 the Serbian surrealists had published the almanac '' Nemoguće–L'Impossible'' and largely the same people were involved in the collaborative publication of NDIO. NDIO was a bilingual publication containing written and visual contributions from the Paris surrealist group. There were illustrations by international surrealists including Max Ernst, Yves Tanguy, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí and Radojica Živanović Noe. Three issues of the journal appeared, the first in June 1931, followed by the second in January 1932, and the third in June 1932. Aleksandar Obrenović
Alexander I ( sr-cyr, Александар Обреновић, Aleksandar Obrenović; 14 August 187611 June 1903) reigned as the king of Serbia from 1889 to 1903 when he and his wife, Draga Mašin, were assassinated by a group of Royal Serbian Army officers, led by Captain Dragutin Dimitrijević. Accession Alexander was born on 14 August 1876 to King Milan and Queen Natalie of Serbia. He belonged to the Obrenović dynasty. In 1889, King Milan unexpectedly abdicated and withdrew to private life, proclaiming Alexander king of Serbia under a regency until he should attain his majority at eighteen years of age. His mother became his regent. His parents were second cousins.
