Radivoj Berbakov
Radivoj Berbakov (11 February 1925 – 1 November 2003) was a Serbian painter. He was born in Kikinda. He was studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in class of professor Zora Petrović Zora Petrović ( Dobrica, May 17, 1894 – Belgrade, May 25, 1962) was a Serbian painter. Her notable works can be seen in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, and in Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection in Novi Sad. Biography She attend .... Kikinda
Kikinda ( sr-Cyrl, Кикинда, ; hu, Nagykikinda) is a city and the administrative center of the North Banat District in Serbia . The city urban area has 38,069 inhabitants, while the city administrative area has 59,453 inhabitants. The city was founded in the 18th century. From 1774 to 1874 Kikinda was the seat of the District of Velika Kikinda, an autonomous administrative unit of Habsburg monarchy. In 1893 Kikinda was granted the status of a city. The city became part of the Kingdom of Serbia (and Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes) in 1918, and it lost the city status. The status was re-granted in 2016. In 1996, the well-preserved archaeological remnants of a half a million-year-old mammoth were excavated on the outer edge of the town area. The mammoth called "Kika" has become one of the symbols of the town. Today it is exhibited in the National Museum of Kikinda. Zora Petrović
Zora Petrović (Dobrica, May 17, 1894 – Belgrade, May 25, 1962) was a Serbian painter. Her notable works can be seen in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, and in Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection in Novi Sad. Biography She attended a high school in Pančevo from 1907 to 1909. In 1912 she enrolled at the Belgrade Arts and Crafts School, where Milan Milovanović, Đorđe Jovanović and Marko Murat were her teachers. She studied painting in Budapest under professor Lajos Deák Ébner, and took part in the courses of professors Pál Szinyei Merse and Istvan Reti of the Barbizon in Nagybanya artists' colony and school, considered very influential in Hungarian and Romanian art. The period from 1915 to 1919 was spent as a student at the Hungarian Royal Drawing School and Art Teachers' College (what became the Hungarian University of Fine Arts) under the guidance of professor Lajos Deák Ébner.
