Radio In Norway
There are many radio stations in Norway. For a more comprehensive list see List of Norwegian-language radio stations. Norway is in the process of transitioning all radio stations away from FM broadcasting to Digital Audio Broadcasting only. The country's national radio outlets transitioned to DAB on December 13, 2017. Local radio stations remain available in FM. NRK NRK radio channels are the most prominent stations in Norway. NRK radio is available on DAB and internet radio. The main channels are: *NRK P1 is the biggest channel in Norway, offering a variety of programs for the vast majority. Radio
Radio is the technology of signaling and communicating using radio waves. Radio waves are electromagnetic waves of frequency between 30 hertz (Hz) and 300 gigahertz (GHz). NRK Folkemusikk
NRK Folkemusikk is NRK's tenth radio channel, and was the first in Norway to be broadcast exclusively via DAB and Internet. The channel broadcasts music only, without presenters. The music consists of both new and old traditional Norwegian folk music in addition to some world music. Radio Norge (formerly ''Kanal 4'' and ''Kanal 24'') is a Norwegian radio station with headquarters in Bergen. It is subsidiary of Bauer Media AS. P4 Radio Hele Norge AS Norway's leading national, private radio station with 24% national market share, about one million daily listeners and two million weekly. P4 Radio Hele Norge operates a nationwide public service-licence, with official requirements for news and information. It broadcasts via Digital audio broadcasting, DAB+ and on the Internet. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. NRK Super
NRK Super is a Norwegian TV & radio channel aimed at children, run by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. The TV channel is broadcast on the digital terrestrial network, on the same frequency as NRK3 from 7am to 7pm, and was launched 1 December 2007. The NRK Super radio channel is broadcast on DAB radio (from 6am to 9pm) and the internet, and was originally named NRK Barn (''NRK Children'' in English). It was launched on 16 October 2007. NRK Super also has a web community where children can sign up and play games that allow them to get their own profile and get friends online. Here also small children can visit the homepages of shows they have seen on TV, such like Fantorangen, Tøfferud (Chuggington), Komet Kameratene, and others.
